Email Template: The Break Up Email

RecruitLoop recruiter James Harman has a secret weapon for landing client business: a breakup email sent to clients who haven't responded to his emails or calls. He has a great response rate on this email, which typically results in James engaging the client on that project, or for future business. A breakup email is a great way spur a client to reconnect. Often you'll hear back from clients with information on a better time to reconnect, or you'll learn what the client's resistance is to beginning a new project.

To improve your own arsenal, James has shared the template with us, for all of you to use:

Hi [name],
I’m writing to follow up on my email and voicemail. We are in the process of closing files for the month.
Typically when I haven't heard back from someone it means they are either really busy or aren't interested. If you aren't interested, do I have your permission to close your file?
If you are still interested, what do you recommend as a next step?
Thanks for your help.
