How to update your password on your iPhone

This article will show you how easy it is to change your email password on your iPhone.

Quick Overview

You will need to tap on Settings / Mail, Contacts, Calendars / Tap your email address for which you want to change the password / Change password.

Step 1: Change password for incoming mail

First, locate and press the "Settings" icon. It may be on a different screen or in a different location than shown here.

Step 2: Then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Step 3: Select the email account for which you want to update the password.

Step 4: Select the email account.

Step 5: Update password for Incoming Mailer Server.

Change your password from this page, under where it says "incoming server settings". This is the first of 2 places where you need to enter a fresh password.

Step 6: Update password for Outgoing Mail Server

On the Account page for that particular webmail account, look for a section that says "outgoing mail server". In the example above, you'd click where it says "SMTP" to access account settings for that server. From there, you'll need to input your new password again.
